THE GREAT BATH BANK HEIST

In 1945 the the sleepy town of Bath became the site of the Great Canadian Bank Robbery!
The robbers escaped by stashing their loot in a nearby church to evade the police.  They were later shot or imprisoned.

Can you find their hidden loot?

OUR HISTORY

The first service at St. Alban the Martyr UEL Memorial Church was held in 1890.  For over 130 years the congregation took pride in their association with the Loyalist settlers who influenced the creation and culture of Upper Canada.

In 2018 St. Alban’s closed its doors causing a group of concerned community members to form the Friends of St. Alban’s.  In 2020 we became a registered charity and lease the church while purchase arrangements are being finalized.

Our vision is to preserve this beautiful heritage building while returning it to it’s role as a valued community resource.
