The Great Bath Bank Heist was Canada's biggest bank robbery.
On August 20th, 1945, Armed Robbers stole $10,000 in Cash and $340,000 in Bearer Bonds from the Royal Bank of Canada. Estimated to be equivalent to FIVE MILLION DOLLARS today! The robbery made headlines across Canada.
Was the loot hidden in St. Alban's Church in Adolphustown, just 20 miles west of Bath?

Returning to St. Alban's Centre again, the Friends of St. Alban's Adolphustown are very happy to present The Reasons, the first Concert Event of 2026, featuring a rousing evening of popular dance music from the 50s/60s/70s & 80s. Last year concert guests reported having a fabulous time singing and dancing along to the live music. Songs will include hits by Elvis and Dion, to The Beatles, CCR, Trooper and Bryan Adams. There are songs for everyone!
The Reasons is a Prince Edward County band that began in 1980, founded by Peter Rea - Lead Vocalist/Guitar; Mike Bond - Drums/Vocals; Steve Wilson - Keyboards/Vocals, and John Sharkey - Bass/Vocals.

The outdoor Café moves indoors to The Rectory on inclement weather days and when volunteer hands are short.
Hallowed Grounds Café is currently closed and will open again in May for Special Events, and on weekends in June, and Thursday thru Sunday in July & August, depending on Volunteer availability. We look forward to serving you! Stay tuned for opening dates.

The United Empire Loyalist Memorial Service, Commemorating the 242nd Landing will happen on Sunday June 14th 2026. Stay tuned for time & details.
A Traditional China Tea Service will follow on the lawn of the Rectory.

Re-enactment, Encampment, Battle Enactments with booming Canon fire & a Flag Raising Ceremony at the Loyalist Burial Ground.

The Annual Fish Fry is being held on July 26th, 2026. This popular Community Event sells out every year.
The 2025 Menu included Gluten Free Fish Options for Adults & Children, as well as Regular Fish, complimented with Lemon Slices, Fries, Creamy Coleslaw, Buns & Butter, and for dessert Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies and a Chocolate Covered Vanilla Ice Cream Bar. Lemonade and Water was also included.

A Volunteer BBQ will be held to give thanks to all of our Volunteers who work tirelessly to keep St. Alban's Centre open, and to further the cause of the charitable organisation Friends of St. Alban's Adolphustown (FOSAA).
